The reigning Venezuelan champion, Jackson Zapata, will defend his title against his compatriot Jesús Laya for the Fedelatin championship of the World Boxing Association (WBA), this Friday, January 31, at the Plaza de la Juventud de Bellas Artes in Caracas.

The boxing evening in the 108-pound category will be nine rounds between these boxers, who have already agreed to a tie in their first contest in August 2018.

Cumanese boxer Jackson Zapata, 28,} has a record of ten wins (8 KOs), one draw and two losses, with a knockout power above 80%.

For his part, the native of Maracay, Aragua state, Jesús Laya has a record of eight victories, three draws and one loss.

Laya, 25 years old, has a 100% knockout power.
