The director of the United Nations (UN) Commission against the Wall and Settlements, Muayad Shaban, reported that in November there were 1,523 attacks attributed to Israeli troops and hundreds more executed by military-backed settlers.

The UN report, Violations of the Occupation and Measures of Colonial Expansion, documents incursions, land confiscations and demolitions in the West Bank, including the demolition of homes, the destruction of livelihoods, the appropriation of land, acts of vandalism, restrictions on freedom of movement, shootings, physical aggression, looting and intimidation.

Shaban stressed that these actions respond to a strategy aimed at displacing the Palestinian population and imposing a colonial regime.

The commission recorded attempts to install 19 outposts, considered a prelude to new settlements. The document argues that these measures comply with the political guidelines of the occupying State to consolidate facts on the ground and fragment Palestinian geography.

In November, Israel confiscated 280 hectares through expropriation orders and administrative modifications, carried out 46 demolitions affecting 76 structures, and issued 51 additional notices.

The UN recorded 264 attacks by settlers in October, the highest number since 1967, while the Commission against the Wall and Settlements estimated 766 offensives in the same month.
