UN Resident Coordinator Gianluca Rampolla completed his mission in Venezuela

The Resident Coordinator of the United Nations (UN) in Venezuela, Gianluca Rampolla, completed his five-year mission in the country, with an emotional message of balance and farewell.
On his Instagram account, he stated that the organization's work in the country focused on accompanying the Venezuelan people with respect and humility. “These have been intense, challenging and, above all, profoundly human years. Because if I learned something very soon, it was that Venezuela cannot be explained; it is lived,” he said.
In his publication, Rampolla expressed his gratitude to the national Government, authorities, political actors, civil society organizations and communities for the space for dialogue and the trust received.
“We don't come with packaged solutions; we come to add, to connect, to build bridges. Each intervention has had a common thread: putting people at the center,” he said.
He said that “this country is revealed in the warmth and resilience of its people, in spontaneous conversations, in landscapes that take your breath away and in that extraordinary capacity to smile even in the midst of difficulties”.
