UN urged the United States to resolve differences with Venezuela by peaceful means

On Thursday, the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, reported that he is following the military mobilization of the United States (USA) “very closely”, while countries in Latin America, the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Iran, among others, accuse Washington of violating international law.

The Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, made a direct call to the United States and Venezuela to “resolve their differences by peaceful means” and to “exercise restraint”, in an attempt to defuse the escalation promoted by the White House and the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.

The warning from the world's highest diplomatic authority comes after the US announcement of the alleged sending by three destroyers with more than 4,000 marines to waters near the Venezuelan coast, whose arrival would be on the weekend.
