UN warned about the situation faced by children in the DR of Congo

This Thursday, the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child (CDN) warned about the situation faced by children in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), especially in the eastern provinces of North Kivu and South Kivu, as a result of the violent clashes caused by the terrorist group M23.
45 minors residing in a shelter for abandoned children in Goma were killed after the takeover of the city by M23 militias last January.
It was also known that 30 girls who managed to flee the center and are currently on the streets in the border city of Gisenyi, in Rwanda, where they face extremely precarious living conditions.
