UNEFA celebrates activities to pay tribute to Africa

The National Experimental Polytechnic University of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (UNEFA) will carry out a series of activities this week with the purpose of paying tribute to Africa, with the purpose of commemorating the continent's day on May 25, said the Deputy Minister for Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yuri Pimente l.

According to a note published by the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, Pimentel kicked off the activities with a conference in which he highlighted the brotherhood and the African heritage with the Peoples of America, specifying the historical and cultural ties between the two continents.

Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from nine African nations were present at the event and were greeted with respect, warmth and admiration.

The Deputy Minister of University Management of the Ministry of Popular Power for University Education, María Eugenia Piñero Granadillo, specified that it is essential to demonstrate to the university community that Africa is a continent with power, which represents the mother country and is therefore moving towards a more humane humanity and towards a university framed in a multipolar and multicentric world.

For his part, the rector of UNEFA, Ricardo Nicodemo Ramos, stressed that it is important to establish ties with mother Africa and pointed out that 20 students from the African continent live in this house of studies, which enhances the university.
