UNEFM trains 134 students in mental health

A total of 134 medical students participated in a mental health workshop given by the Francisco de Miranda National Experimental University (UNEFM) and the health authorities of the state of Barinas, in the conference room of the local College of Physicians, as part of the training policies promoted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS).
During the day, future professionals acquired knowledge about psychological first aid and self-care strategies for healthcare performance, tools that strengthen the technical and human training of the new generation of doctors in the entity.
Institutional representatives highlighted the educational purpose of the meeting: “The workshop on mental health aimed to provide the new generation of professionals with fundamental tools for addressing public health and healthcare performance,” they said.
