UNESCO recognizes Venezuelan social transformation through music and science

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela won the Category II Center award conferred by Unesco to the Peasant Scientific Alliance and the Simón Bolívar National Orchestra System, so the sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, assured that this recognizes social transformation through music and science.
“These are two experiences of the Bolivarian Government that, through social organization, are promoting transformations that are fundamental for inclusion, for productivity, for life, for community encounter and life in peace,” he said through a telephone contact with La Noticia de Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
He also assured that the policies of the States of the world become transformative and unprecedented initiatives of global reality. “In this case, the Orchestra System, which is a wonder, is a space for learning and social transformation based on music, which makes it a reference for other countries.”
He pointed out that in the case of the Biotechnology Center for Training, it denotes technological innovation and Unesco grants this distinction, also to put it at the service of humanity.
In turn, the Minister for Science and Technology also stressed that this represents new civilizational dynamics, “in these times when humanity is facing imperial aggression, we are a hope and we represent to the world, these two experiences that become an example so that other countries can dialogue and practice our methods”.
