Unreleased audios of soldiers and civilians planning to overthrow the Lula da Silva government in Brazil were reproduced by TV Globo, which ran until the early hours of this Monday. Extracted from cell phones and computers as a result of confiscations and leaks, the files show conversations between those involved in the coup attempt involving former President Jair Bolsonaro.

It was reported that the Federal Police (PF) seized 1,200 electronic equipment from those involved in the plot and managed to extract 255 million audio and video messages. Federal experts prepared 1,214 reports that, according to the investigation, reveal the “voices” of the coup, with high-ranking military personnel keeping an open channel with alleged demonstrators demanding electoral fraud.

In one of the audios sent to Bolsonaro's former assistant in command, Lieutenant Colonel Mauro Cid, he mentions an alleged arrest warrant against demonstrators and asks for help to get the then-president or former justice minister, Anderson Torres, to intervene to prevent it.

For the police, the audios show that the group's strategy was to keep the mobilizations in the streets and the controversy over the alleged fraud in electronic voting machines.

According to the researchers, the sound reproductions reveal that high-ranking members of the Bolsonaro administration (2019-2022) also acted to pressure military commanders to adhere to the institutional rupture.

Green and Yellow Dagger Plan

Local media also report that the defense of the reserve general, Mario Fernandes, responded that he has not yet had full access to the content resulting from the confidentiality violations and that the complaint only contains disconnected fragments.

Fernandes would have drawn up, with the help of special commands, the operational plan called Green and Yellow Dagger to kill President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Vice Geraldo Alckmin and Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court.

The Attorney General's Office (Attorney General's Office) team reported Bolsonaro and 33 other people on Tuesday for the crimes of armed criminal organization, attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law and coup d'etat. Also for damage qualified by violence and serious threat to the Union's heritage.

For the time being, the resounding indictment of the Attorney General's Office is in the hands of the Supreme Court, which must define whether it accepts it. If so, Bolsonaro and the others accused of the plot will become defendants and will respond to criminal proceedings in the higher court.
