Update to the Affidavit of Patrimony will end on July 31

Until July 31, the process of updating the Affidavit of Patrimony (DJP) will be carried out, which is aimed at senior officials, entities and public servants who hold positions corresponding to the national administration.

The information was provided by the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR), on its website, stating that the members of the Financial Management Unit of the Community Councils, the spokespersons that make up the Community Bank and the members of the directors of trade unions and unions must also carry out the DJP, as established in article 30 of the Anti-Corruption Law.

The Comptroller General, Gustavo Vizcaíno Gil, emphasized the fundamental importance of updating the DJP, describing it as an inescapable legal obligation and that there are conditions to comply with it.

He also explained that non-compliance with the DJP update may result in administrative sanctions ranging from 100 to a thousand official exchange units, published by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), in force at the time of payment.

He also warned that, if there is a repeat offense, it can also be agreed to suspend the exercise of office and the disqualification of public service, and reiterated that this process has a deadline of July 31.

In that regard, he stated that “the page will be open 24 hours a day; from anywhere you can log in, either through your PC, laptop or cell phone, to do and fulfill your duty to update your Affidavit of Assets.”

“We also have available a telephone number 0800 - Declare (0800 3325372) where you can contact the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic with any problem that may arise when submitting your Affidavit of Patrimony,” he said.

Vizcaíno Gil pointed out that 182,342 public servants are deployed to comply with the updated Declaration, “they have the Situational Room, enabled at the headquarters of the CGR, as well as the National System of Fiscal Control in Venezuelan territory.”
