The Valencia Art Museum (MUVA) will inaugurate next Saturday, May 9, three simultaneous exhibitions that cover history, academic training and contemporary sculpture in Venezuela, as part of its cultural program.

The institution, attached to the National Museum Foundation, will deploy this proposal in several rooms of the venue, with the aim of bringing the public closer to the national artistic heritage and promoting the recognition of the country's cultural diversity.

The exhibitions include: Inventory (II): Open Vaults from the MUVA-FMN Collection (Rooms 2, 3 and 4), which brings together paintings, sculptures, drawings and engravings representative of the 20th and 21st centuries.

In addition, the exhibition Legacy and Transcendence reviews the evolution of the Arturo Michelena School as a reference in artistic training; while Hitoto: The Body and the Form, by the artist Edgar Alvarado León, explores contemporary sculpture through techniques such as lost wax.

With this program, the MUVA reaffirms its commitment to the preservation and dissemination of cultural heritage, inviting the community to rediscover national creativity and to value the contribution of the visual arts to Venezuelan identity.
