Valencia Independent Film Festival 2025 opened for applications until April 30

The Valencia Independent Film Festival extended the invitation to creators to submit their works for the third edition of this year 2025, which will be held at the Municipal Theater of the capital of Carabobeña. The call will be open until April 30, to choose a place for the final stage and screen their films from 18 to 20 June.

The organizers informed that those interested in participating can request information on the rules of the competition through the email: [email protected] and the official social networks of the event @festicine .valence. This festival has the support of Fundacultura, the Secretariat of Culture, the National Autonomous Center for Cinematography (CENAC) and the National Association of Cinematographic Authors (ANAC), as well as several public and private institutions committed to the growth of national cinematography.

At a press conference held at the Municipal Theater of Valencia, Mayor Dina Castillo announced the details of this edition, which includes the Russian Federation as a guest country. In addition, the tribute to the Venezuelan filmmaker María Teresa Galán, for her more than four decades of contribution to national cinema, also stood out.

One of the most anticipated announcements was the increase in the prize pool in all categories, with a cash prize for the winners. In the words of the mayor, this gesture seeks to encourage film creators and highlight the artistic talent of Carabobo and Venezuela, through the promotion of cultural values and the rich heritage of the region.

The festival will not only be a space to highlight national talent, but also to strengthen the cultural and social ties of the community. The authorities reaffirmed their commitment to the promotion of films made in the country, to ensure that initiatives like this continue to promote Venezuelan cultural identity.
