Valeria Osorio was crowned world champion in weightlifting in Peru

Venezuelan weightlifter Valeria Osorio was crowned world champion in weightlifting in the envión category, junior category 45 kilograms, in Peru.

The Venezuelan won the gold medal after completing the 84-kilogram mark in group C of the youth and junior competitions, which takes place at the Sports Center of the National Sports Village (VIDENA).

Osorio started with a lift of 64 kg at the start and 84 kg at the start to add up to a total of 148 kg.

For her part, in this same category, Arianye Echandia won bronze at the start with 69 kg and silver in the envión with 82 kg and also in the total, with 151 kg.
