Vatican: Pope Francis continues in rehabilitation with limited activities

The official Vatican press reported that Pope Francis is still recovering after having overcome severe pneumonia that kept him hospitalized for 38 days.

In this regard, the Holy See noted that the Pope is currently at his residence in the Casa de Santa Marta, where his convalescence is estimated to last at least two months.

The 88-year-old pontiff follows a strict medical regime that includes pharmacological therapy and physiotherapy sessions, with special emphasis on fully recovering his respiratory capacity and voice.

For the time being, according to statements from the Vatican, the ecclesiastical authority does not receive outside visitors, limiting itself to its closest circle of collaborators, without a date having been defined for its future public appearances.
