Venezuela and Angola agree on agenda to promote literary and cultural exchange

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Angola, Belén Orsini, held a meeting at the headquarters of the National Union of Angolan Writers with the president of the Angolan Copyright Society (SADIA), Lopito Feijóo, and the Secretary General of the Union of Writers of Angola, in which they agreed to build an agenda to promote literary and cultural exchange.
During the meeting that forms part of the Bolivarian Diplomacy for Peace and Peoples, Orsini highlighted the importance that Venezuela attaches to the promotion of culture in general, to literature in its different genres, the promotion of reading as a liberating tool for strengthening the identity and transformation of the human being, a vision reaffirmed by its hosts, recognizing that through literature bridges of friendship can be built, opportunities for dialogue and the integration of Latin and Caribbean peoples and Africans, especially between Angola and Venezuela.
In addition, during the meeting, it was also agreed to promote the organization of joint activities to make visible the works and authors of both countries, in which they highlighted the importance of the Venezuelan International Book Fair (FILVEN), which has served as a platform for presenting Angolan and African literature.
It should be noted that the Angolan Writers Union was formalized on December 10, 1975 by President Antonio Agostinho Neto. For fifty years, the role of this national institution has been permanent in promoting peace, harmony and harmony through literature and art in Angola, a Venezuelan Television review.
