Venezuela and Antigua and Barbuda promote greater mutual cooperation from the UN

The parties reaffirmed, once again, their commitment to continue promoting regional integration in the Greater Caribbean

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, met, in New York, with the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, with the purpose of strengthening diplomatic relations of cooperation, solidarity and friendship.

Through his Telegram channel, the Venezuelan foreign minister noted that during the conversation, the importance of unity and solidarity among Caribbean countries was addressed, with the aim of promoting greater development and mutual cooperation.

Gil took advantage of the meeting, held in the framework of the opening of the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), to convey the greetings of President Nicolás Maduro to the ruler of the island nation.

Caracas and Saint John, who established diplomatic relations on June 15, 1982, share their vision of building a multipolar world in the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac),” the Ministry reported of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs.
