The first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Pedro Infante, held a meeting with the ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ruslan Rzayev, this Thursday at the Federal Legislative Palace.

The meeting was attended by the president of the Permanent Committee on Foreign Policy, Sovereignty and Integration, Deputy Timoteo Zambrano (CMC/National), and the Undersecretary of the AN, José Omar Molina.

The activity, according to a press release, was aimed at reaffirming the Parliament's commitment to the promotion of Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy in all countries.

Through this meeting, Venezuela and Azerbaijan strengthen their ties of friendship and diplomatic and parliamentary cooperation, which date back to May 12, 1995.

Both nations have consolidated a common agenda focused on energy cooperation, tourism and parliamentary diplomacy.
