Venezuela and China explore areas of cooperation in Artificial Intelligence

Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, paid a visit to the
facilities of the technological giant iFlytek, from China, in the city of
Beijing, where she held a meeting with its managers and managers with the objective of exploring cooperation in the
field of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied in the hydrocarbons, health and education sectors.
“Only China can guarantee that the global south has access to Artificial Intelligence for development and not for domination,” he stressed, according to a note from the Vice Presidency.
At the same time, he stressed that China currently plays a fundamental role on a global scale in the use of AI to achieve sustainable growth. In turn, he reaffirmed that Venezuela has a great interest in collaborating with iFlytek to generate innovative solutions that promote the country's technological development and that also allow the improvement of essential public services.
For his part, iFlytek's product manager, Liu Kexin,
highlighted that the company's products are aimed at
AI technologies, and it has 30,000 employees in fields such as medicine, education and finance.
He also noted that, in the industrial sector, iFlytek
offers a system to concentrate coding data, protect company
information and improve their efficiency. In addition, he noted that in the technological
area, more than 4 billion electronic devices work
with the Asian giant's platform.
iFlytek is an AI company founded 1999 in China, with a business model that has a presence in more than 70 countries. In the Chinese health and education system, they implement AI, with which they have generated more than 900 million patient stories in hospitals in the Asian nation, as well as more than 50,000 schools that also use this platform to benefit 130 million students.
