Venezuela and China strengthen cultural ties in Mérida

The governor of the state of Mérida, Arnaldo Sánchez, held a productive meeting with the attaché of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Venezuela, Zhou Haiping, in which they exchanged various proposals to strengthen the cultural environment in the entity.

This was announced by Sánchez on his Instagram account, in which he stressed that the General Secretary of Government, Yurami Quintero, and the Secretary for Cultural Development, Vanesa Rivas, were also present at the meeting

He also explained that the main focus of this meeting was to establish cooperation mechanisms that favor the development and promotion of art and traditions in the state of Merida.

He specified that this space was crucial to strengthen the ties of brotherhood and bilateral cooperation that unite China and Venezuela, so he added that this relationship “advances at full speed and overcomes any test”, echoing the statements of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

The exchange of ideas underlines the commitment of both nations to promote cultural diplomacy as a bridge for mutual understanding and collaboration on projects of common interest.
