Venezuela and Colombia set up a high-level working table to strengthen tourism integration and boost non-oil trade, during a virtual meeting between authorities from both countries.

During the day, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, accompanied the evaluation of proposals aimed at consolidating this sector as an economic engine.

Among the priorities defined, stand out the promotion of bird-tourism, the development of community and gastronomic tourism, and the implementation of City Brand strategies, with the objective of attracting travelers interested in sustainable and differentiated experiences in the region.

The initiative comes after Venezuelan participation in the ANATO 2026 Tourism Showcase and the Macro-Wheel of the Americas, spaces that facilitated alliances and cooperation agendas. This event, considered the most important in the sector in Colombia, registered more than 56,000 attendees and more than 26,900 business appointments, reflecting the dynamism of regional tourism.

The authorities agreed that air connectivity between Caracas and Bogotá opens opportunities to design multi-destination routes and increase the flow of international visitors, in line with a strategy of shared growth.

This approach is also framed in the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries, aimed at consolidating comprehensive cooperation that promotes economic development and cultural identity in the region.
