During his
participation in the 19th intermediate summit of
foreign ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement (MNOAL), held in
Kampala, Uganda, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván
Gil, met with his counterpart from Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, to reaffirm the brotherhood and mutual support between the two nations.
Through his Telegram
channel, Gil noted that, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, he expressed
to the Cuban Foreign Minister the deep gratitude of the Bolivarian Government and the Venezuelan
people “for their unwavering voice in denouncing the dangerous military
deployment of the United States in the Caribbean, a threat that puts the lives of our peoples at risk.”
He also stressed
that “Venezuela will always reject the criminal blockade imposed on Cuba, as well as
the unilateral coercive measures affecting the Venezuelan people.”
