Venezuela and Egypt strengthen tourism ties

As part of joint efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and increase tourist exchange between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Arab Republic of Egypt, the diplomatic mission of the South American country in Cairo hosted an important meeting, which brought together Ambassador Wilmer Omar Barrientos with chairmen of boards of directors and executive directors of the main Egyptian tourism companies.
This meeting was convened and coordinated by the ambassador's ad honorem tourism and culture advisor, Professor Ibrahim El-Assal.
This meeting is part of an ambitious tourism project, which adopts the visions of both governments to increase the number of tourists to and from Venezuela, seeking to open up new perspectives for cooperation in this sector.
The meeting was attended by presidents and company representatives, Mohamed Abdel Aziz, from New Cairo Tours; Hany Mosbeh, from Al Jazeera Al Arabia Tours ; Ashraf Sayed, from Royal Way Tours; Abdel Salam Hamed, from UTS Tourism; Dina Khattab, from Higher Travel; Mohamed Fayez, from Midland; Karim El- Menbawy, from Emco Travel; Shaimaa Badawy, from Sekhmet; Wafik Farag, from Seferles Tourism; Hossam Hazzaa, from Egyptian Travel Makers; Mohamed Badr, from Ultimate Travel; Yasser Hamida, from Best Way Tourism, and Hany Youssef Kamal, from Planet Tours.
Also present were Hossam Shalaby and Ibrahim Hamed, in addition to Mostafa Ashaby, from Maat travel, accompanied by his sales director, Basma Aly; Salah Atris and Rasha Badr Eldin, from Talento travel, and Ashraf Al Masry, from Treasure Egypt Travel, together with the head of the Spanish-Latin market, Mohamed Al Masry.
The presidents of the boards of directors expressed their satisfaction with this productive congregation, during which they listened to Ambassador Barrientos's speech and witnessed interesting visual presentations about Venezuela, prepared by the Embassy to highlight its tourist attractions.
