As part of her official visit to Gabon on the occasion of the
presentation of credentials, the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Ana Margarita Pino Pasquier, was received by the Minister of Tourism of the Central African country, Pascal Ogowe Siffon, at the headquarters
of this ministry in Libreville.
During the meeting, the Head of Mission transmitted the formal
invitation of the Bolivarian Government for Gabon to participate in the Venezuelan International Tourism
Fair (FITVEN 2025), which will take place in
Caracas between November 28 and December 1.
Pino Pasquier stressed that the event constitutes a
strategic opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties and open spaces for
cooperation in the tourism sector.
The diplomat also highlighted
Venezuela's extensive experience in training human talent in tourism and hospitality, at the
technical and university levels, with specialized programs through the
National Institute of Tourism (INATUR).
In this regard, it made available to the Gabonese side the Venezuelan academic
offer for the development of professional capacities in
this area.
Minister Ogowe Siffon thanked the invitation and valued
FITVEN 2025 as an ideal space to learn about
Venezuelan tourism potential, which he described as an initial step for cooperation between the two countries.
He stressed that Gabon has 80% of natural resources that can be
used for tourism, including parks and spaces ideal for
ecotourism, and that they are currently working to open up the country to international visitors.
