Venezuela and India consolidate alliances to strengthen the national health system

The Minister of Popular Power for Health, Carlos Alvarado, held an institutional meeting with the ambassador of the Republic of India in Venezuela, Mr. P.K. Ashok Babu, with the objective of consolidating strategic alliances for the strengthening of the national health system.
The diplomatic meeting focused on the establishment of agreements on technical assistance, medical supplies and health infrastructure in the context of the earthquakes that affected the national territory on June 24.
During the development of the work agenda, the technical committee evaluated the requirements prioritized by the affected areas to optimize the capacity for immediate response. The delegations agreed to streamline the distribution and exchange channels of pharmaceutical supplies to ensure free and timely care for citizens in hospitals.
In this context, the Indian diplomat expressed the absolute willingness of his government to accompany the efforts of the Venezuelan State to overcome the effects caused by recent seismic events. He also reiterated the bonds of brotherhood and continuous cooperation that have united both peoples for decades.
Finally, the holder of the health portfolio, Dr. Carlos Alvarado, thanked the Indian embassy for its strong solidarity at a decisive moment for the country's public health infrastructure.
