Venezuela and Kuwait move forward on a road map for strengthening their relations

The ties of friendship between Caracas and Kuwait reach their 60th anniversary on September 13

With the intention of advancing the road map to strengthen political, diplomatic and bilateral cooperation relations with the State of Kuwait, the Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh, held a meeting with Ambassador Fadel Haider Saud Al Hasan.

The meeting responds to the follow-up to the II Bilateral Political Consultations Meeting, held on January 10 in virtual format, which addressed the interest and willingness of both governments to strengthen relations and it was agreed to design a road map, in order to establish strategies to promote and consolidate joint agreements that promote development and mutual cooperation in the political, economic and food security areas.

In this regard, the Deputy Minister expressed Venezuela's best interest in developing economic and commercial cooperation that encompasses areas such as agriculture, hydrocarbons, tourism, air transport and investments, while ensuring that she works together with the agencies involved in the issues to meet the requirements proposed by Kuwaitis.

Both diplomats expressed their interest in joining efforts to increase and deepen bilateral relations, especially in areas of common interest, fulfilling a work agenda that includes bilateral, face-to-face and virtual technical and specialized meetings.

The ties of friendship between Caracas and Kuwait reach their 60th anniversary on September 13, and are framed in solidarity and respect for sovereignty; resulting in agreements for the benefit of both peoples.
