The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, met this Monday with the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Edil Baisalov, in the context of the 58th session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations, which is being held in Geneva - Switzerland.

During the meeting, “we reaffirmed Venezuela's commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship, cooperation and exchange that unite and enrich our peoples,” the Foreign Minister wrote on his Telegram channel.

In September 2024, in connection with the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, in New York, Venezuela and Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement to abolish visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

They also committed themselves to strengthening cooperation and working together to promote the development and well-being of both peoples.

The head of the Venezuelan Foreign Relations Office is carrying out in Geneva, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, an agenda of bilateral meetings with authorities who attend the Human Rights Council, in order to reiterate Venezuela's willingness to establish and reinforce cooperation agreements with allied countries, based on respect for self-determination and sovereignty.
