Venezuela and Russia begin XIX Meeting of the High-Level Intergovernmental Commission

Delegations from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the
Russian Federation held this Thursday the XIX Meeting of the High-Level
Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN) between the two nations, where they signed
new agreements in various fields, in order to strengthen
strategic cooperation and mutual development.
On the Venezuelan side, the
Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, led the meeting, while for Russia it was headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Chernyshenko, who offered an assessment of the cooperation
that the Eurasian nation maintains with Venezuela, in productive, energy, pharmaceutical and tourism matters.
Meanwhile, Rodríguez stressed that both countries have
developed a great relationship of cooperation and respect, which promotes
independence, self-determination, sovereignty and peace.
He thanked Russia for the solid block that was formed
during the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and Allies (OPEC+), as
well as the large oil producers that are part of the
organization, and those who work to defend price balance for economic stability.
He also highlighted the presence of the Eurasian country in the
BRICS, which encourage the development of the new world based on
international law and multilateralism, and where nations come together for the cooperation of peoples.
