In the framework of the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil held a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

On his Instagram account, Gil said that at the meeting, “we reaffirmed the solid and strategic alliance between Russia and Venezuela.”

He specified that “we also analyze the global geopolitical situation, highlighting our rejection of the unjustified naval deployment of the United States, which puts the entire Caribbean region at risk.”

“In addition, we ratify our joint commitment to multipolarity and adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter,” Gil emphasized.
