Venezuela and Russia sign work plan on criminal matters

The Attorney General of the Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, signed a work plan in Moscow with his Russian counterpart, Igor Krasnov.

The bilateral agreement was reached within the framework of the invitation extended to him by the Russian Attorney General for the head of the Venezuelan Public Ministry to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and covers issues such as the fight against transnational crime, cybercrime, terrorism, mafias, organized groups and drug trafficking.

The head of the Venezuelan tax action explained that this firm seeks to strengthen criminal cooperation between the two nations and is in addition to two documents already signed. In addition, he described this event as a historic milestone for both Peoples.

He also noted that this agreement has a wider scope and is the result of international politics promoted by President Hugo Chávez and continued by Nicolás Maduro.
