Venezuela and the Russian Federation began this Friday a series of joint exercises on health and epidemiological emergencies, which took place in Caracas, as part of the technical-scientific agreements maintained by both nations, as reported by the Russian Embassy in Venezuela through its Telegram channel.

“In Venezuela, Russian-Venezuelan exercises for rapid response to health and epidemiological emergencies began, with the use of mobile laboratories for the rapid detection and control of potential threats,” the diplomatic body said.

Then, as reported by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the Russian mission emphasized that “these exercises reinforce joint preparation to prevent and control epidemiological risks, underlining the importance of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Venezuela in this key area.”

In a previous instance, on November 7, Caracas and Moscow signed 17 cooperation agreements during the 16th meeting of the Russia-Venezuela High Level Commission at which they signed in areas such as energy, trade, air transport and security, as well as an intelligence and counterintelligence pact. In this way, both countries are strengthening their ties in crucial areas.
