Venezuela and Russia strengthen commercial cooperation and diplomatic alliance

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs,
Yván Gil, met this Tuesday, in his office in Caracas, with the ambassador of the Russian Federation accredited to
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,
Sergey Melik-Bagdasárov, to review the road map for binational cooperation in 2025.
During the meeting, the authorities reviewed bilateral
relations and joint work, within the framework of the 80th anniversary of the
establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which will take place next March
.
“This meeting focuses especially on
commercial cooperation and diplomatic alliance, in the context of the approach of the
80th anniversary of the establishment of ties between our peoples,” said the Venezuelan
Foreign Minister in a message posted on his social networks.
In addition, “we discussed preparations to commemorate Victory Day
on March 9, an emblematic date on which the Red
Army achieved the defeat of fascism in Europe,” he added.
Last December, Foreign Minister Gil held a telephone
conversation with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, in which
they addressed various cooperation issues and reaffirmed collaboration on bilateral and multilateral issues.
