Venezuela and Russia strengthen interparliamentary cooperation

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, reported that he held a telephone meeting with the head of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, in order to discuss the Law Approving the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Treaty which exists between the two nations.

“We talked about the interparliamentary cooperation between Russia and Venezuela that has been strengthened by the Law Approving the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Treaty between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Russian Federation,” Rodríguez said through his Telegram channel.

“We confirm that the Caribbean must be maintained as a zone of peace and the unwavering decision of the Venezuelan people to defend their independence and sovereignty,” he said.

In addition, he explained that both delegations were committed to strengthening a multipolar world.
