Venezuela and the Republic of Sierra Leone reviewed bilateral ties and reaffirmed our mutual commitments, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, posted on their social networks.

In the message, Gil specified that he had a fruitful telephone conversation with Musa Timothy Kabbah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

“During this meeting, the Government of Sierra Leone expressed its full support to the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations and international law, which protect our Peoples,” he said.

The foreign minister also assured that “this support is especially relevant in the context of current threats that undermine international law and jeopardize the sovereignty and peace of nations and regions of the Global South.”
