This Friday, March 8, the maiden flight of the Surinamese airline Fly Allways, which connects Paramaribo and Caracas, arrived at Simon Bolivar International Airport, in the state of La Guaira.

The activity was led by the Deputy Minister for the Caribbean of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Raúl Li Causi, who explained that this initiative not only strengthens Venezuela's ties with its neighbors at the political level, but also contributes to the tourism and economic development of the region, and represents an opportunity to deepen exchange in different areas.

He also assured that Venezuela continues to emphasize regional integration, through air connections that have been activated. “Not only do we have this new flight now, but also others to Barbados, to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; soon we are going to inaugurate Saint Lucia,” he added.

The Surinamese ambassador accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Gustaaf Rasiman, said that this flight represents an “improvement for economic development, as well as for the integration of our peoples.”

“It is a privilege and a pleasant occasion to be on the maiden flight from the Republic of Suriname to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (...) This new flight will ensure that it promotes tourism and promotes business between the two countries,” said the diplomat.
