Venezuela and the UN addressed the agenda of regional issues and multilateralism

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, reported that he held a meeting with the Chief of Staff of the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), Earle Courtenay Rattray, and the Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs of the organization, Miroslav Jenca.
The information was provided in his account on the social network X, in which he specified that the purpose of the meeting was to address regional and multilateral issues.
The Chief of Staff of the UN Secretary General, Courtenay Rattray, took office on December 17, 2021 and served as ambassador of Jamaica to China (2008-2013); director of the Department of Bilateral Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade in Kingston (2005 -2008), among other positions.
For his part, the current Secretary General, Miroslav Jenca, has served as special representative of the Secretary-General and head of the United Nations Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) since 2008.
Jenca was also director of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, as well as ambassador and head of the Mission to the Center of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
