Venezuela and UNCTAD review cooperation agenda

The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Félix Plasencia, reported through his social networks that he held a bilateral meeting with the acting secretary general of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Pedro Manuel Moreno, in which they reviewed the state of cooperation between Venezuela and this organization.

During the meeting, new areas of technical assistance related to trade facilitation, promotion and diversification of exports, investments, electronic commerce and the digital economy, among other strategic areas, were addressed.

Plasencia said that it was agreed to move forward in organizing a working group in Caracas, with the participation of national institutions and experts from UNCTAD, to evaluate existing projects and define a concrete agenda for cooperation in priority areas for Venezuela.
