Venezuela and UNDP strengthen cooperation for sustainable development

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs (MPPRE), Yván Gil, held a meeting with the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Venezuela, Magdy Martínez Solimán, at which cooperation in the field of sustainable development was strengthened.
Gil released the information through a publication on his channel on 'Telegram', (Yván Gil), in which he reaffirmed the commitment of the Bolivarian Government, headed by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, to meet the global goals set within the framework of the 2030 Agenda.
“We had a meeting with Magdy Martínez Solimán, resident representative of UNDP in Venezuela, to coordinate strategies in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to these global goals for the well-being of the planet and humanity,” said the foreign minister.
In 2022, Venezuela and UNDP signed a memorandum of understanding to contribute to improving access and use of digital media in communities and territories through the rehabilitation of infocentres.
In addition, the program seeks to promote the national productive sector, by strengthening business management capacities and encouraging the resilience of micro and small businesses in operation, as well as the development of enterprises.
