Venezuela and Vietnam plan to increase cooperation in agricultural biotechnology and aerospace development

The sector vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, announced that with a view to strengthening South-South cooperation, scientific and technological alliances continue to be advanced, with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In this regard, he held a meeting with the director of the Department of Application and Technology Development of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Dr. Phan Tien Dung, in which they shared experiences in areas of interest that will allow for the expansion of joint collaboration in agricultural biotechnology, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), satellite and aerospace development, among others.

“We have highlighted as a priority educational training at the highest level for students who will enter the Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán National University of Sciences, inaugurated at the end of 2024 by President Nicolás Maduro Moros in Venezuela,” emphasized the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology on her Telegram account.
