The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a meeting with the ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vu Trung My, to discuss strategic bilateral cooperation projects.
During the meeting, both representatives explored the joint cooperation map and established concrete perspectives to strengthen the relationship between the two nations.
The information was provided by Rodríguez through his account on the social network Telegram, in which he specified that “we are addressing the joint cooperation map and the prospects for strengthening complementary ties in various areas, with the purpose of continuing to strengthen our fruitful bilateral relationship within the new multipolar world”.
Vietnam, recognized for its successful economic renewal that has positioned it among the 35 main economies in the world, is emerging as a strategic ally for Venezuela.
The joint efforts are aimed at boosting progress in priority sectors such as energy, agriculture, industry, culture and tourism.
Both nations have signed a series of agreements in recent years. These include memorandums and letters of intent related to oil, gas, industrial investment and agricultural development.
In April 2024, during the official visit of Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister, Tran Luu Quang, five new collaboration agreements were concluded.
