Venezuela celebrates 65th Anniversary of the memorable triumph of the Cuban Revolution (+press release)

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela joined the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution this Monday and paid tribute to Commander Fidel Castro and the Rebel Army who defeated the Fulgencio Batista dictatorship on January 1st.

In a statement, the Bolivarian Government expressed “its gratitude to the Government of Cuba for so much solidarity in the face of the challenges we have faced to overcome the current multiform and asymmetric war imposed on us by imperialism.”

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan People and Government, conveys a warm embrace of congratulations to the brother People and Government of the Republic of Cuba, on the occasion of commemorating the 65th Anniversary of the memorable triumph of the Cuban Revolution, an historic moment, of great political and social value for the Great Homeland dreamed and sought after by our Liberating Fathers Simon Bolivar and Hero José Martí.

On this memorable date, the people of Venezuela express, once again, their gratitude to the Government of Cuba for so much solidarity in the face of the challenges we have faced to overcome the current multiform and asymmetric war imposed on us by imperialism.

Venezuela pays a fair tribute to the Leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, to the Army General and Hero of the Republic of Cuba, Raúl Castro Ruz and to the women and men of the Rebel Army, as well as to the legacy of dignity and perseverance they have left to the peoples of the world.

The Government and the People of Venezuela reaffirm their unwavering friendship and loyalty to the noble people of Fidel. Congratulations, we decided to look at the same horizon together and move forward together in defense of our sovereignty!
