The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil highlighted the commemoration of the World Day for African Culture and People of African Descent, as it is a date that seeks to celebrate the richness of African culture, its rhythms, its art, its beliefs, and everything that makes this continent what it is.
“Today we commemorate the World Day for African Culture and People of African Descent, established by UNESCO in 2019 to honor the richness of African cultures and their diasporas, coinciding with the adoption of the Charter for the Cultural Renaissance of Africa. Venezuela celebrates its roots and its African cultural heritage, as well as the bonds of friendship, solidarity and mutually beneficial cooperation with African nations, a union and exchange that has been achieved under the Bolivarian Revolution,” wrote the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs on his account on the social network Telegram.
