Venezuela condemns attack against civilians in Sydney and stands in solidarity with the Jewish community

Through an official statement, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejected an attack against civilians in Bondi Beach, Sydney, and expressed its condolences and solidarity with the Jewish community.

Below is the full text of the statement:

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its strongest condemnation of the violent attack carried out against civilians in Bondi Beach, Sydney, as well as its sincere condolences and solidarity with the Jewish community, who have been victims of this horrendous attack, in the midst of a religious celebration.

Venezuela reaffirms that no form of violence against the civilian population can be justified, regardless of its motivation, origin or context. Acts of hate, intolerance and terrorism constitute serious violations of the principles of international law and of the fundamental values of humanity.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to peace, coexistence between peoples and mutual respect between cultures and religions, and calls for the rejection of all expressions of violence and discrimination.
