Venezuela congratulates the People and Government of Vietnam on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Saigon

In a statement released by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, this Wednesday the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela congratulated the People and Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on commemorating the 50th anniversary of the glorious Liberation of Saigon.

The text highlights that this is a “historic date that consecrated the definitive victory against colonialism and imperialism, achieving national reunification under the luminous legacy of comrade Ho Chi Minh”.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela congratulates with deep revolutionary pride the people and Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on commemorating the 50th anniversary of the glorious Liberation of Saigon (April 30, 1975), an historic date that marked the definitive victory against colonialism and imperialism, achieving national reunification under the luminous legacy of comrade Ho Chi Minh.

This feat constitutes a beacon of inspiration for the peoples of the world who are fighting against all forms of foreign domination. The Vietnamese resistance wrote one of the brightest pages in contemporary history, demonstrating that no oppressive power can overcome the indomitable will of a people united in defense of its sovereignty.

From the Homeland of Bolivar and Chávez, we reaffirm our admiration for Vietnam, a living example of dignity and socialist construction. We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to deepen the bonds of brotherhood, cooperation and revolutionary solidarity between our nations.
