Venezuela defined representatives in weightlifting for the Ayacucho Lima 2025 Bolivarian Games

Venezuela defined its weightlifting representatives who will be present at the Ayacucho Lima 2025 Bolivarian Games, at the qualifying event held at the Teo Capriles Velodrome in La Vega, Caracas.
A total of 33 athletes fought for a place in the national team, according to the Ministry of Sport press report.
In the men's competition, the Falconian Jefferson Witman Gómez López won the 60 kg category, with a total of 254 kg, registering 113 kg in the start and 141 kg in the storm, securing his ticket to the November event.
In the 65 kg division, Guairian Wilkeinner Lugo led with 291 kg, lifting 126 kg at the start and 165 kg in both halves, beating his state partner Lisandro Rivero, who failed all three of his attempts at the start.
The 71 kg category was dominated by Reiner Arango (CAR), who added 330 kg to achieve 148 kg in the start and 182 kg in the engine. While Julio Mayora from Guaíra (79 kg) reached 340 kg in the Olympic total, as a result of lifting 150 kg at the start and 190 kg in the effort to qualify comfortably and ratify his global hierarchy.
In the 88 kg, Ángel Rodríguez from Monagua won the place with 344 kg in the Olympic summation, after climbing 164 kg at the start and 180 kg in both halves, followed by Darvin Castro (CCS) with 330 kg.
In the 94 kg division, the Mirandino Keydomar Vallenilla excelled by 94 kg when lifting 386 kg in the sum, achieving a lift of 173 kg at the start and 213 kg at the start, reaffirming his status and sealing the pass to the Bolivarian event.
In addition, Ángel Luna from Sucrense dominated the 110 kg category with an Olympic total of 364 kg, lifting 162 kg at the start and 202 kg at the start. In the more than 110 kg, Luis Alberto Espinosa from Caracas sealed his classification with 327 kg in total, a product of 147 kg at the start and 180 kg in the engine.
In the women's category, Patricia Mercado won 48 kg with a total of 184 kg with 82 kg at the start and 102 kg at the start, followed by Mariángeli Martínez from Guaíra with 169 kg and María Rondón from Caracas with 168 kg.
The Yaracuyan Katherine Echandia was the only athlete evaluated at 53 kg, in which she registered 85 kg at the start and 110 kg in both halves for an Olympic total of 195 kg.
For his part, the representative of the Falcón state, Anyelin Venegas, won the ticket in the 58 kg division, adding 222 kg, after lifting 99 kg at the start and 123 kg in the ship, surpassing the Carabobeña Génesis Rodríguez, who totaled 219 kg.
The Guaireña Rosselyn Uzcátegui took over the 63 kg category by adding 200 kg, with marks of 88 kg at the start and 112 kg at the start.
The silver medalist, Claudia Rengifo from Guaire, did the same in the 69 kg with a record of 216 kg in total, achieving 98 kg in the start and 118 kg in both halves.
In the 77 kg category, Keily Silva from Caracas led the Olympic total with 220 kg, lifting 98 kg at the start and 122 kg in both halves, before the retirement of Apureña Lidismar Aparicio in envión.
In the same way, in the 86 kg, the Mirandina Dayana Chirinos was accredited the evaluation, adding 240 kg, thanks to the 105 kg at the start and 135 kg in both strokes.
Finally, Yaracuyana's Naryuri Pérez, took over the division of more than 86 kg with 250 kg in the Olympic total, so both qualified for the Bolivarian Games.
