The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported this Saturday that the Government of Guyana is preparing a false flag operation with the objective of attacking the ExxonMobil platform in the Essequibo.
From Bolívar state, Rodríguez pointed out that this action seeks to justify reprisals and actions against Venezuela led by the extreme right wing María Corina Machado and the American mercenary Erik Prince.
Rodríguez stressed that this operation coincides with the next Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) in Honduras and would take place in a maritime area that projects the Essequibo, which is yet to be delimited.
The vice president accused Guyana of constantly violating Venezuela's rights by exploiting oil resources in this area.
In addition, Rodríguez pointed out that Erik Prince, known for his history as a mercenary in Middle Eastern countries and employed by the United States, would be responsible for carrying out this operation.
He recalled that, after the last presidential elections, Prince would have led a campaign to assassinate President Nicolás Maduro and other Venezuelan authorities.
Rodríguez called on the international community to be alert to these actions and reaffirmed Venezuela's commitment to defending its sovereignty.
