Venezuela denounces and repudiates an act of international piracy against an oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, this Wednesday, December 10, issued a statement, in which it strongly denounces and repudiates what constitutes blatant robbery and an act of international piracy, publicly announced by the President of the United States, who confessed to the robbery of an oil tanker in the Caribbean Sea.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, in his account on the social network Telegram, published the aforementioned statement, which states: “This is not the first time he has admitted it, since in his 2024 campaign he openly stated that his objective has always been to keep Venezuelan oil without paying any consideration in return.”

This act highlights that it makes it clear “that the policy of aggression against our country responds to a deliberate plan of dispossession of our energy wealth”.
