Venezuela denounces US siege before CARICOM

In the context of the Second Summit of African Countries and the Caribbean
Community (CARICOM), held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the
Deputy Minister for the Caribbean of the Ministry of People's Power for
Foreign Affairs, Raúl Li Causi, held meetings with several prime ministers of Caribbean
nations, in order to bring the truth of Venezuela to the world regarding the threat of US military deployment (
USA).
The Venezuelan diplomat, on behalf of President Nicolás
Maduro, delivered letters to Caribbean leaders to denounce the siege
that Latin America and the Caribbean is suffering by the Government of Donald Trump.
Li Causi reiterated the commitment of the Bolivarian Government
to strengthen historic ties of brotherhood, cooperation and solidarity with Caribbean
nations and stressed the importance of advancing regional cooperation and integration projects.
The Second Africa-CARICOM Summit is held under the theme
“Transcontinental Partnership for the Reparation of Africans and People of
African Descent through Reparations”.
CARICOM is an integration mechanism created on July
4, 1973, with the signing of the Treaty of Chaguaramas, in order to consolidate the
unity of its 15 member States and 5 associate members.
