In order to evaluate the country's potential to initiate exports to Caribbean Community (CARICOM) markets, the Minister of Foreign Trade, Johann Álvarez Márquez, received representatives of Venezuelan companies with export capacity.
At the meeting, the importance of making progress in identifying the Exportable Offer to that market and in the processes of eligibility, commercialization and adaptation to the requirements of Caribbean destinations was highlighted.
They also reviewed concrete opportunities to place Venezuelan products with high potential in the Caribbean, such as: chicken, eggs, coffee, oil, pasta, wheat flour, sausages, fruits, vegetables, and others.
In terms of logistics, the participants agreed on the importance of designing an island distribution scheme, with volume estimates and viable logistics routes, especially to nearby territories such as Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire, as well as other strategic destinations in the Caribbean.
