The Foreign Trade Company of the state of Lara shipped 70 tons of green coffee to the United States.
The shipment was accompanied by the Minister of the People's Power of Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy, together with the governor of the entity, Luis Reyes Reyes.
“During the day, we were able to verify the rigorous work of the government in the area of non-oil exports. We observed the filling and technical verification of three containers, which was carried out in strict compliance with international standards,” said Godoy.
He also said that these 70 tons of coffee that are being exported today reflect the consolidation of a path of sovereign export vocation, with greater diversification of sectors and destinations, according to a press release from VTV.
“We will continue working to ensure the opening of new markets,” said Minister Godoy.
So far in 2026, 62 containers have been exported from the state of Larense.
In addition, in 2025, a total of 1,440 containers were shipped to 35 countries, which translates into 35,388 tons, with a load of 29 items, of which agriculture stands out the most.
