Venezuela expresses its gratitude to the Government of Laos for recognizing electoral results

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs,
Yván Gil Pinto, expressed his gratitude to the president of the
Democratic Republic of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, for his message of congratulations
to the head of state, Nicolás Maduro Moros, after his electoral victory.
Through his account on the social network X, the national
president wrote “We extend cordial greetings to the President of the Democratic
Republic of Laos, Thongloun Sisoulith, and we express our
gratitude for his message of good wishes and congratulations addressed to
President @NicolasMaduro, after his victory for a new six-year term.
Cooperation between our
peoples will continue to be a fundamental priority.”
The Laotian president issued a communication stating
that he has “the confidence that, with his extensive experience and
knowledge, as well as with the great support of the people and government of Venezuela, His
Excellency will continue to achieve better success in the development of the country for the
prosperity of the Venezuelan people.”
I also reaffirm their commitment to working
closely with the Venezuelan nation, “to strengthen and
further improve existing traditional bonds of friendship and good cooperation between
the two countries for the mutual benefits of both peoples, as well as for
peace, stability and cooperation in the region and in the world for sustainable development.”
